Võhandu Maraton AFTERPARTY
Võhandu Marathon organizes a family day introducing kayaking on June 3rd in Leevaku, the aim of which is to popularize paddling and give everyone the opportunity to try different boats.
During the day, it is possible to try out different boats, take part in a training session on rapids, a three-boat competition and paddle a 14 km distance.
The day starts at 10:00 and is freely formed, the organizing team of Võhandu Marathon and our cooperation partners with different boats will be present.
In the evening, the AFTERPARTY of the Võhandu Marathon will take place on the village square of Leevaku with the band ÖÖSORR. The concert is FREE for everyone!

INSTRUCTIONS
At 1:00 p.m., we will start with a competition format in which one competitor completes the same 100-meter distance three times, but with three different types of kayaks - the stable kayak Tahe Fit 132, the fast sea kayak WK 525 Sport and the racing kayak WK 595 Marathon.
The purpose of the competition is to give the participant practical experience to cover a certain distance on different kayaks. It is a personal experiment for the paddler, where he can find out the limits of his skills and abilities when using different kayak models.
Kayaks and other equipment needed for the competition can be obtained from the organizers.
The ranking of the competition is determined by the cumulative times of the three rounds of each competitor.
The price for one competitor is €10.
All participants of the family day can attend on 14 km open course, at which a lot of Võhandu Marathon things will be raffled for the participants.
It is possible to start the paddling open distance throughout the day.
The start is given from Leevaku and you paddle 7 km upstream to the Võuküla bridge (intermediate finish), where the arrival of the participant is fixed. After that, you paddle 7 km downstream back to Leevaku.
The price for one participant is €10. Registration and payment on site in Leevaku.
